Relate West Surrey (RWS) is a registered charity with over 85 years of experience helping people with their relationships. RWS will help people whether they are married or not and whatever their sexual orientation, race, personal beliefs, or social background. Relate West Surrey offers confidential relationship counselling for individuals, couples, children, young people, and families in 7 Boroughs: Woking, Surrey Heath, Spelthorne, Guildford, Runnymede, Waverley, and Elmbridge.

Our service for children and young people is called iRelate and is a safe place for children and young people aged 10-18 to talk about and better cope with the challenges they’re facing. This can include anything from body image, self-harm, and bullying to issues at home such as divorce and separation. “I now feel more open- minded and more able to talk to people honestly about things.” Corey, aged 14. HSYA funding allows us to help children and young people from a low-income household receive subsidised counselling sessions each year.

Our last report between 1st October to 31st December 2023 showed a 94% improvement in young people's mental health.
