Past Awards:

Ready4Action/The Matrix Trust

Over the early May Bank Holiday 2008, up to 300 local young people joined Ready4Action, a long weekend of social action on local estates in Guildford clearing rubbish and renovating homes, gardens and communal land. The Matrix Trust received a £1,000 grant from the High Sheriff Youth Awards scheme, which paid for fencing and tools to enable the action teams to complete this maintenance work for the disadvantaged and marginalised who benefited from the three days of volunteering.
