Projects celebrate their own success
The annual High Sheriff Youth Awards Celebration Evening took place at ExxonMobil Headquarters, Leatherhead in March 2009. Gathering to celebrate were over 120 young people and leaders – from 27 of the 60 projects that received HSYA grants totalling £55,000 in 2008-09. Five projects were invited to make presentations to the audience, which also included VIPs.
Ten other projects took the chance to run sideshows and talk to guests about how the HSYA funding is ‘helping young people make Surrey safer’. Left: Chief Constable Mark Rowley took part in the ‘New Lives’ presentation by students from Bishop David Brown School, Sheerwater.
